It\u2019s now as easy as opening your browser.<\/p>\n<p>The <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/chronodivide.com\/\" data-i13n=\"cpos:1;pos:1\">Chrono Divide<\/a> project (via <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/games\/rts\/im-escaping-to-the-one-place-that-hasnt-been-corrupted-by-capitalism-a-fanmade-browser-version-of-the-best-command-and-conquer\/\" data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\"><em>PC Gamer<\/em><\/a>) lets you play the 2000 RTS in Chrome, Edge, or Safari. Although it supports Firefox, too, its developer says it should be avoided if you want \u201cgood performance.\u201d It even works in mobile browsers.<\/p>\n<p>Chrono Divide supports cross-platform multiplayer using all the original maps. (You can use some mods, too.) In fact, according to <em>PC Gamer<\/em>, multiplayer is about your only option. <em>Red Alert 2<\/em>\u2019s single-player campaign modes (where you\u2019ll encounter those \u201cso bad, they\u2019re good\u201d cutscenes) are still a work in progress.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe project initially started out as an experiment and was meant to prove that it was possible to have a fully working, cross-platform RTS game running in a web browser,\u201d the project\u2019s website reads. \u201cNow, with a playable version already available, the end-goal is reaching feature parity with the original vanilla \u2018Red Alert 2\u2019 engine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can take it for a spin on <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/chronodivide.com\/\" data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\">the Chrono Divide webpage<\/a>.
